They scream it's a voter suppression scheme that will kick millions off the rolls. Total nonsense - if you're already registered to vote, you're grandfathered in and don't have to prove citizenship again unless your state finds you're ineligible and removes you. For new registrations or re-registrations, there are plenty of ways to prove citizenship beyond a birth certificate - passports, naturalization papers, military records, or even sworn statements backed by state verification. This is simple, common-sense security. The only people this truly blocks are illegal aliens trying to vote in our elections. Democrats know it, which is why they're melting down.
