@shailjapatel International law gives all ships the right to transit through the Strait of Hormuz. If countries could block or charge for passage at chokepoints, global trade would fall apart. Thatโs why the law requires coastal states to allow ships to pass without interference. Nice try, tho

@darrellprograms @FrenlyOfficer The retreated from Hakata bay because they deployed a force (roughly 3000 men) against a relatively equal Japanese force. Add on the face that it was a beach invasion, the Japanese naturally had a force multiplier. The remaining 20K+ troops never got the chance to land on Kyushu.

This misunderstands the purpose of castles. You can leave them and attack and then come back for safety. Requires a much larger force to keep the men in a castle from doing damage.

@darrellprograms @FrenlyOfficer Where are you getting this idea that they spent weeks out at sea waiting to make landfall. They took Tsushima and Iki, and shortly after made landfall onto Kyushu at Fukuoka. The second invasion literally resulted in 100K+ deaths due to the typhoon.
