@gosc101 @OliverWDahl this reminds me black clover and mashle. in those works, magic is treated as the most valuable thing, the more you have it, the more respect and influence you get those with powerful magic became royals or leaders though selective breeding, those without it are seen as worthless

It's funny how what people think is accurate, would no longer be accurate when you spill magic/superpowers into the world. My favourite example is from mutants in marvel. They want to believe the rich and powerful people would persecute mutants rather than want to have those superpowers for themselves. There would be no genocide of killing, but one of eugenics and forced reproduction of new rulers of the world. It's similar with magic in medieval fantasy. You got talent, you would find patrons. Powerful people would not be treated like expendable mercenaries, but tools of gaining power. Powerful clans would form, and average people would be treated even worse than they were in real life. Angry mob doesn't really matter if you can just smite a thousand people with a single spell.
