Junior retires undefeated. We all tried to defeat him in debates, but his Dawah was too powerful. If he ever makes a comeback, we're cooked.
Jvnior@Jvnior

I am QUITTING the debate space indefinitely. After a deep and sincere conversation with our revert brother @EnochIslam I have come to the realization that I have done more harm than good by trying to debate without a proper foundation in true Islamic knowledge. I ask Allah and the Muslim community to forgive me for what I have done in the past and to allow me to enter a new chapter of my life as a student of Islam instead of using Islam to my own will. I deeply regret taking debates with individuals who constantly disrespect Islam and I will steer far away from them. Truly, after speaking to our brother Enoch I have realized that the presence I have can be used for something greater and better than wasting time arguing with those who hate us. If I ever hurt you with my words, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness as I have made many mistakes in my life that I now seek to rectify before I meet my Lord on Judgement Day. The last 10 days of Ramadan spent in the Masjid was an invitation by my good friend and lawyer @HassanShibly who helped me in my journey back to Islam away from hedonism. I’m still learning, and I have no knowledge to speak on Islam in a public space, let alone in debates. So I will refrain from doing so until I finish my proper schooling recommended to me and I will continue to strive for Allah in private. My efforts will be focused on creating content for journalism, activism, and financial education. I hope that you continue this journey with me as I navigate this chaotic world as a human. I ask Allah to forgive me and forgive anyone who may have done wrong through my influence or actions, and I sincerely ask those who support me or know about me to make dua for me to become the best version of myself while I am alive. This is my only personal goal in life… to become the best version of myself so I can serve others around me in the best way possible. That’s it. May Allah accept my sincere repentance.

I left Protestantism many years ago and became a simple lost Christian. In the recent 2 years I have been exploring Catholicism. My girlfriend never expressed interest because she grew up Wiccan and certain Catholic practices made her nervous. So she stayed nondenominational Christian. However this morning she told me: “The more I read the Bible, the more I see Catholicism.” We are trying to go to RCIA as soon as possible

Weird, I went to Mass today and the Rosary was left out. Matter of fact they left it out last Sunday. Come to think of it, I have never prayed the rosary during Mass. I need to let my Priest know! This Calvinist who has been baptized for 5 mins informed me we are in error.
Taco_Talks@taco_talks

@BillArnoldTeach Oh it’s whenever they’re praying the rosary which is a typical part of a Catholic mass. Like I already mentioned, about them praying to Mary. I know words are difficult for you but if you’re gonna be tagging me and stuff, make sure you keep up a little bit

It’s comical to see him lie in this. What I did was expose his exact word fallacy, made famous by Muslims to attempt to deny that Jesus is God. In the same way, this guy uses it to try to deny that Jesus is sufficient. Link in comments

@Kryptotajeer @GodLogic_GL Its extremely funny how you all have to pivot to "you are just doing this for clicks and to grift" or "you are not sincere" How about deal with his arguments, or debate him? You would NEVER 🤣

Firstly, Muslim Lantern was absolutely right not to give you the satisfaction or platform you crave. You're not sincere, you twist the message of Allah for clicks and content creation. He wisely refused to feed your popularity or be part of that circus. If it was someone genuinely sincere and responsible like Joshua from Speakers' Corner, there'd be no issue debating them, because they're not just grifting for views. Secondly, he schooled you hard. You pretend to have studied Islamic jurisprudence deeply enough to critique Islam, yet you couldn't even name the four major schools of thought (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, Hanbali). How does someone who brands himself "GodLogic" not know the absolute basics he's claiming to refute? It exposes the shallowness. Everyone should see the point he doesn’t want you to see

The first Christians were Jews who recognized Jesus was who he said he was. The Son of God. NIV (Romans 1:16): “the gospel … is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”

I’m reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, and I came across a fascinating idea I’ve never heard presented before. Lewis doesn’t state it directly—only its implication—but for his conclusion to hold, it must be inferred. It appears in the chapter “The Cardinal Virtues,” on the final two pages. Lewis distinguishes between performing a just or temperate act and actually being a just or temperate person. A poor tennis player might hit a great shot occasionally, but that doesn’t make him a good player. We all agree on that. Therefore, isolated acts of obedience don’t make one virtuous, character is revealed in consistency. From there, Lewis argues that God wants more than mere obedience. Obedience matters, but God cares far more about our character. He wants us to become people who naturally produce obedient behavior. Then comes the part I've been contemplating for the last few days. Lewis notes that we might assume virtues are needed only for this life, because in heaven there will be nothing to quarrel about (so no need for justice) and no danger (so no need for courage). But he adds that while God won’t refuse entry to heaven for lacking certain qualities, heaven offers no further opportunity to develop them. As a result, we will never attain the “deep, strong, unshakable kind of happiness” God intends. The inference that struck me is this: we may have only our time on earth to become the people God intends us to be. This life forms our capacity for joy, virtue, and glory. Heaven fulfills it but does not expand it through suffering. In heaven there are no trials to forge bravery, self-control, patience, humility, resilience, integrity, gratitude, or joy in the midst of hardship. Those qualities are shaped here, not there. So here's the unsettling question: once we die and enter eternity, is our development finished? Is this life our only chance to become the best version of ourselves? If so, it’s sobering. All the time wasted scrolling Instagram reels or behaving poorly without seeking growth would carry eternal consequences. I should live each day with urgency, taking massive strides toward becoming the man God intends. The day I die, the work ends. My capacity for joy and virtue can no longer grow. I’m not sure if this idea is theologically sound. Maybe it's not. I’d love some insight from theologians who could explain why it might not hold. But if this life truly is our only training ground, delay is far more dangerous than I ever realized. That thought alone makes me want to live with far greater urgency than yesterday.

The talk around this is really unsettling, especially in the context of recent Epstein chaos & commentary around "almost legal" minors. Vulnerability doesn’t end with puberty. A 15 yr old victim can 💯 suffer lifelong PTSD. What's been most shocking is seeing David treated as a victim vs. asking whether what he shared brought honor to those girls.
Julie Roys@reachjulieroys

I often agree with @MikeWingerii. But I'm very surprised at his take here. Listen to @Acts17David for yourself. Does he sound casual to you?
