It’s a leadership failure that comes from the very top. We’re an easy paycheque. Whether players come here with that mentality or not, there’s no real expectation to win. Comfy contracts for mediocrity. The only real motivation is for the young lads that are looking to facilitate a move. I’ve seen lots of talk about bringing in some proven Championship guys this summer. I get it, but if the club don’t seriously address the strategy, we’ll have more Glenn Murray’s than Ben Watson’s.
