🇦🇷🗣️ Marcelo Bielsa back in 2024: "I am sure that football is in a process of decline. It is becoming less and less attractive because what made it the best game in the world is not there anymore." "If you let a lot of people watch football, but you don't protect the pleasure of what they watch, that favours business, because the business is that a lot of people watch football." "For me, the introduction of technology (like VAR) does a lot of harm to football. This sport has a particularity: when it becomes completely predictable, it loses its appeal." "As time passes, as fewer and fewer footballers are worth watching and as the game produced is less and less enjoyable, this artificial increase in the number of spectators will be interrupted." Do you agree with Marcelo? 😳

The number of voices in and out of football currently saying the PL is broken grows weekly. Elite football has totally lost its way. It's being steered by people who NEED to be invested in every busted flush from VAR to countless Champions League matches. Everyone can see this

Astounding to think there was once a show on BT/TNT that reflected upon the week's football news in a different way. Football is way too important for such nonsense now. #BakerAndKelly @dannykellywords

Still so many Chelsea supporters left in the ground. Why? It's 8-2. Fans have currency. Agency. To leave the ground empty would send a message to the owners/manager. Don't take us for granted. Loyalty is a powerful tool that can often work when it is withdrawn.

Loving the BT/TNT Sports commentator: "Chelsea still have things to play for this season, there's a top 5 place to play for and next up is Port Vale in the FA Cup..."

Chelsea subs indicate they have now written this match off. Supporters make their opinions known. Thanks for nothing.

Commentators. Stop saying "Chelsea now have a mountain to climb" unless you add, "Nude, in flip-flops, pushing a grand piano against that Cyclone trial they use in I'm A Celebrity".

Got stuck back into this today (been working nights so a lovely day to it). Literally making it up as a go along. And that’s what I dig the most about it. A way to go yet (I think?). Household paint & oils. On coffee sack. 3-1/2ft x 2-1/2ft approx. On old ply wood.

I know it's patently obvious but the crisis in Prem League teams is because they don't play for their clubs. They don't have to play for their fans. They just have to play for television. Money's made, myth propped up. Just a football content service industry.

Help everyone. I want to go to bed but realise I haven't "called out" anyone for anything for some time. I know I must regularly "call out" someone for something on here but what? Please don't send me any "shout outs" because I know that's different.

Saw this at the Astoria Old Kent Road when I was seven. I was AGOG. It still holds a strange power over me that only the films you saw when you were young can. This was my Star Wars. youtube.com/watch?v=kJivoH…

"Elite" football sides winning any league or cup now is a bit like music artists who have number one records these days. People can just point back to the 70s/80s/90s and point out when it actually meant something.
