The pollution comes from the burning of wet and unseasoned wood. The government brought a ban in but can’t be bothered to police it. They also made the sales of wet wood legal as long as they sold 2m3 or more. Don’t blame wood burners, blame the illegal sellers and the incompetent government.

Almost everything in this article by Charnwood Stoves is incorrect. It's either intentionally designed to mislead people or it's just ignorant, but either way it's not true. That means people who sell these products are not being honest about how those products harm people.

A public health charity funding research into air pollution is not equivalent to a stove manufacturer defending its market. One is trying to reduce harm. The other is trying to protect sales.
