Life is like topography, Hobbes: full of summits, valleys, and everything in between. Here’s to conquering 2025’s peaks, embracing its flat stretches, and learning from its valleys. Happy New Year! 🌟 #CalvinAndHobbes #NewYear2025

Happy New Year 🎆🥳

On Dec 31, 1995, the final Calvin & Hobbes strip was published. Yet, its magic endures—reminding us to embrace curiosity, wonder, and the joy of imagination. Bill Watterson’s masterpiece continues to inspire, proving great art is timeless. #CalvinandHobbes

“Complaining about not achieving success despite working hard is like complaining about an ice cube not melting when you heated it from 25 to 31°. Your work was not wasted; it is just being stored. All the action happens at 32°.”

@oldskoolcoach Could be a semantics argument in terms of what each person defines as, "off." We talking completely sedentary lifestyle for 8 weeks? 8 weeks of X training? 2 weeks off and 4 weeks of cross training and 2 weeks of general intro work? "Off" means different things to different folks
English

@CoachGSanders Correct me if I am wrong, but pretty sure we heard Coach Pfaff say that athletes should take 8 weeks off per year. Best if done in 4 - 2 week instances. But never more than 2 weeks if healthy.

This picture gives me mixed emotions.
I drive my son to school in the morning. I park on a nearby street so we can have a little walk together.
Great moment every morning.
Until recently, I’d walk him to the gate.
This week he asked me “Daddy, I wanna walk by myself today”.
He felt confident enough to do it. So I told him to go ahead.
At 7 years old, it probably gives him a nice boost of confidence.
But it’s true what they say.
One day, you’re going to do something with your kids for the last time and you won’t even know it.
They’ll ask you to play for the last time.
They’ll ask you to hold them up for the last time.
That’s why it’s so important to be grateful for every single moment. To be present and engaged in our children’s lives.
Because you don’t know. Maybe today will be the last time for something…
