Britain has the most expensive energy in Europe, the most expensive train fares in Europe, the most overcrowded prisons in Europe and the dirtiest rivers and beaches in Europe. Such are the successes of privatisation.

🚨 🚨 🚨 🚨 Let's make this viral - hedgehogs are dying of dehydration - please please share this post and offer some shallow bowls of water for wildlife (pop a few pebbles in to make sure insects that fall in can escape) 🦔 💧 🎥 Paul Bunyard

@KGuilaine Have a look into Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). At its heart, it’s all about normalising human suffering and teaching acceptance rather than trying correct or change thinking and feelings. Russ Harris has written some very accessible self help books on it.

@porksmith We had a bat get into our house last night. Smashed into walls a bit and needed a lot of rests. We named him Matt Berry. Thought you should know.

@chronicnotebook It’s more informative for a health care professional to ask how is the pain impacting your life than outve 10 for this very reason

The pain scale doesn't work because the 10 of someone who hasn't experienced much physical pain or illness will be the 3 of someone who has.

At bedtime the 8 yo told me his teacher said: “Think of your mind like a pond full of fish and each fish is a feeling. Try to be the pond, not the fish.” And all I can say is primary school has significantly improved.

Me: So apparently in Melbourne they call cum "fuckmilk" and it's 20% runnier. All my mutuals: Yeah it's normal. Fuck off!

🧵I'm being contacted my lots of vaccine-hesitant people looking for answers to their questions. The first question I always ask is "how are you feeling?" Almost every time the person bursts into tears, words include overwhelmed, frightened, helpless. 1/5
