@shelley_wine It’s 2024 and this sorta news still feels like it should be from prohibition days.
It’s well beyond dumb.

@IANRHARDING I think it has to do with experience over leadership.
An experience designer should know that feedback is to help make the work better, not an attack on the person who created the work.
Feedback in any form can easily be construed as an attack.

@D4V Perhaps a result of poor design leadership? Reviewing work should be seen as a means to encourage growth, collaboration, and improved outcomes. Something all designers (should) want.

@letkma Jumping on this…
Have you tried doing anything with a Bank recently?
They’re stuck in the 90s at best.

with any luck a lot of UX writ large can just disappear entirely over time.
like 80% of the stuff we need a UI for is inputting information and preferences, and ideally someday that's just digital-brennan sitting under the surface for me

I would predict that of all AI usage happening 10 years from now, the primary UX will be "chatbot" for a very, very small minority of use cases. Most of it is going to be hidden and productized behind API calls. Chatbots are so clunky. Mediocre UX at best.

@D4V This comes into play when the previous generation, who bought homes in the 70s and have made millions in unrealized capital gains, pass away and those capital gains must be immediately paid by their estate and children. Fun times ahead.
