@rabbimarkiz Not a shul member but a regular chabad donor: it’s a way to participate in Jewish continuity outside of having kids. I guess it also means I have relationships for the practical stuff like when my husband needed to practice his Hebrew at 9pm the night before my grandma’s funeral.

My mother’s voice is so loud in my head - oh the bank failed and and startups won’t make payroll…we should bring them some groceries. The deep need to start a mealtrain is as weird and misplaced as it is deafening.

It seems the conversation has so far been around lower cost of living and the flip side of rising housing prices, but it also touches transit infrastructure, where childcare should be located, and the money spent in small town centers near homes vs downtown.

I’m reading about cities clawing back tax incentives from companies that aren’t forcing a return to office. Are any cities or towns incentivizing remote workers to move there? E.g., municipal broadband, changing zoning to allow eateries in residential neighborhoods, etc.?

@KatieS @3GS Of possible value depending on their age but I’m fluent in Russian - I’m not sure when it stopped being taught in schools in Ukraine but I imagine after the 80s based on friend’s fluency.

@mulegirl It was surprising to me and took a while to pinpoint because I have one easy food allergy and otherwise eat any and everything without issue.

@mulegirl So I’m curious how common this experience is: modern meat alternatives always upset my stomach. Old school stuff like tofu or tempeh is fine but Beyond or Impossible is Not Good. I’m wondering if this is a common enough problem that people get turned off the concept?

@berglar I use an in-house tool now, but I liked Trint transcription in the past for the color coded highlighting and quick playback of highlights it allowed.

What's everyone's favorite user research tool lately...Grain's transcription just isn't good enough to make search worthwhile..I'd love to be able to make clips super easily and have a great video player embedded...
