Mohammed's younger brother Mahmoud was martyred early in the genocide, while his father, in his later years, suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and a bone fracture while seeking food aid, requiring painkillers and antibiotics that cost around $100. Another brother, Shehadeh, endures persistent pain from shrapnel wounds and leg fractures incurred during a bombing of their home, which also injured older brother Ali with shrapnel in his feet and back fractures, and Mohammed himself with shrapnel severing the sciatic nerve in his left foot, causing loss of movement and sensation. In Rafah, the family contends with malnutrition, diseases from poor sanitation, pollution, poverty, and escalating prices for essentials, exacerbated by the recent closure of the Rafah border that has halted humanitarian aid and evacuation options, making food, water, and medicine scarcer and costlier; donations are sought to cover these necessities and facilitate safe evacuation when feasible.

His mother, who was battling cancer and receiving weekly chemotherapy at the Turkish hospital, was martyred when the facility was bombed early in the genocide, leaving him without family. Having survived four previous catastrophe, he describes this one as the most violent. He has lost over 25 kilograms due to severe malnutrition from lack of food and water, experiencing nausea, imbalance, and multiple fainting spells from starvation. He seeks to evacuate Gaza, restart his dental practice in a safe location, pursue advanced studies in aesthetic dentistry at a university, and regain basic necessities for survival, emphasizing that any support would help preserve his future and dreams.
