It’s hard to find myself here again. This site has gotten worse, but many of you still feel like friends. Despite the trolls, I want to share this about my mother, who passed away. Her life as a working-class immigrant mother tells an American story that feels unimaginable now.

Despite my better judgment (the risk of being harassed by trolls) many people on this app feel like friends, so I wanted to share this post about my late father who passed away last week. His life epitomized the American Dream—a dream that often seems elusive today. 🧵

Here's the real debate that we're not having on the left yet about Daniel Biss. Do we think Daniel Biss would have lost to Kat if he wasn't tall and good looking?

It’s insane that our old elected leaders keep sending BILLIONS of our tax dollars overseas for war while our schools are underfunded and infrastructure collapses. Then they act shocked when young people rebel. You hollowed out our country. Now we’re fighting to take it back

@RileyTX AOC is clearly the winner of the Left flank if she runs. I'm not even sure Ro would jump in if she's already in. But are we sure AOC is running for Prez or Senate?

@DeepNotShallow Deep…no. He can’t even be a consistent leader on I/P. He voted to arm Israel this year because he apparently couldn’t be bothered to read the bill. We’ve got our candidate:

Leaving this website for BlueSky is a pretty awful move tbh. Somehow BlueSky is all the worst parts of the Neoliberal sphere of this website with none of the humor or fun upside from posters and the left. The day that the Big Orange guy kicks the bucket, this is the website you want to be on

💔😭 I'm still not over it.

The Republican party is essentially a cult of personality around Trump. As such, they can actually make strategic decisions like this. Are we taking bets on what made up new title Hope Sheppelman gets in the admin?
Hope Scheppelman@HopeSchepp

For Immediate Release: March 20, 2026 Hope Scheppelman Suspends 2026 Campaign for U.S. Congress Washington, D.C. - Today, Hope Scheppelman, candidate for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, announced she has suspended her surging campaign to unseat freshman Republican Jeff Hurd. Citing President Trump’s request to withdraw, Scheppelman put the need to help preserve the Republican Party’s slim majority in the U.S. House and America First ahead of her personal ambitions. “While my decision was difficult to make, I must put America First and do all I can to help ensure that the radical leaders in today’s Democrat Party do not take this seat and thereby plunge our great country into the destructive chaos we experienced during the Biden-Pelosi era,” said Scheppelman. “Jeff Hurd now has the opportunity to correct his naive voting record and support President Trump, and our slim Republican majority in the U.S. House, in our shared battle to save the country we love. If he does not, I will run again in 2028 and defeat him in order to give the citizens of Colorado’s 3rd district, and all of America, the representation we deserve,” continued Scheppelman. “To all my supporters, I encourage you to hold Jeff Hurd’s feet to the fire and demand he do his job to uphold the Constitution and advance the values that are making America great again. Our vigilance to put our country ahead of ourselves is the price we must pay to ensure our freedom and prosperity are preserved for our fellow citizens,” concluded Hope Scheppelman. ###

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser is the only thing stopping 1 company from owning over half of Denver's broadcast TV market. He's sued Trump 60+ times & won most, but this might be one of his most consequential cases to date. May the force be with you, we need a win here

If someone chased down, grabbed and yelled at Diane DeGette like she did this voter, that person would be arrested. But we're going to sit here and pretend it's okay for a senior member of Congress (30 years!!) to treat her constituents like this? Again, Neguse, Crow and Pettersen have never done something like this.

@DeepNotShallow Let’s not be sensationalist. She didn’t punch someone. And now it’s multiple people (“voters”)?Who else has she done this to? This 30 years stuff is getting “old” (pun intended). It doesn’t immediately qualify whomever runs against her as deserving to win.

If you work in politics and ever had "differences" with Kyle Clark, it's because you are part of a corrupt, establishment regime that is terrified of real journalists who expose hypocrisy and corruption
𝖠𝗅𝖺𝗇 𝖥𝗋𝖺𝗇𝗄𝗅𝗂𝗇@alanfranklin

I've had my differences with Kyle Clark, but 9NEWS' accountability work has been indispensable as other outlets have abandoned accountability for stenography (or worse). Without them, things will fall through the cracks. There are beneficiaries from this but not the public.

@stevenpaletz Jason, Joe and Brittany haven't done this. Why are we giving a pass to the oldest and most "senior" Democrat in Congress from Colorado? If her younger colleagues can deal with protests and interruption without putting hands on voters, so can she after THIRTY YEARS in office.

@DeepNotShallow I dunno, looks pretty coordinated and edited. I’d suggest the way this constituent is speaking could be construed as aggressive and abusive by the congresswoman. I wasn’t there, and this video is edited to show a narrative.

Joe Neguse, Jason Crow, & Brittany Pettersen get protested too for similar votes. But none of them have chased a voter, put hands on them, or yelled. Thirty years in office and DeGette thinks she’s untouchable. Denver has gotten nothing from her. It’s time for change.

BREAKING: Rep. DeGette gets heated with a constituent pressing her on why she voted to send bombs to Israel: "If this the only issue that you care about is this issue, then you should not vote for me" DeGette, who's 68, is facing a primary challenge from @MelatKirosCO.
