Thursday night last week was a big night for us at @YouthKiAwaaz. We won two awards - one for best audience engagement on site, and another for best content on climate change at @DigipubWorld. But this wasn’t easy for us. For the last year, we’ve questioned everything about what audience engagement means to us at a time when social media is evolving rapidly, impacting our work, platform and business more than we had imagined. And even though this award comes at a good time, as a much needed motivation, I know we have a long way to go. For climate change as well. We committed deeply to the issue with #ZeroSeHero, and to building content, partnerships and policy frameworks for it 4 years ago. And every day, we’re reminded that there’s just a lot more to be done. And we will. This award is truly for the brilliant community of writers and the hard working team at YKA. Onwards!
