@ttiddg12 False dichotomy
Do you know how many “USA fans” are also from Mexico and of Mexican descent living in the U.S.? Tens of millions.
Remember, much of the U.S. used to be Mexico, in some ways it still is.

@jordanbpeterson Dude, @jordanbpeterson, I don’t know you but I happened across this post, read it and you come across like a self-loathing arse
I’m an American, I’ve lived across the globe. Yeah, we have some greatness here but we built it on the backs of unwilling millions
English

To the Americans:
I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.
And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:
You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.
This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.
Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.
This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.
But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.
This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.
And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:
Thank God for the United States.
Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.
Long may your admirable country dominate the world.
Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.
May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning.
Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill.
Thank God for the USA.
Happy 250th.
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson

@Mr_Gerrie01 Not to brag…of course I am, but I’ve done that. I’ve outrun other players so fast that they pulled muscles and snapped Achilles trying to keep up with me.
But now I’m old, slow, and tender and would never try that now.
English

@afcstuff I don’t pretend to understand the business of buying & selling players at this level, but whoever Arsenal gets to replace Trossard had better be a phenom
Arsenal for decades have a policy of offloading players over 30. Trossard is 31. Expect a younger player
English

@FanDuel As an American who’s played internationally, when I see silly stuff like this it reminds me why the U.S. has never won a World Cup.
Posting stuff like this makes us look dumb.
English

@AFCJaccy Wait, WTF? He’s one of my favorite Arsenal players.
His replacement better be phenomenal.
English

🗣️ 💔 Trossard’s emotional message to Arsenal fans…
🗣️ “Arsenal will always feel like home to me. From the moment I arrived, this club embraced me, believed in me, and gave me some of the best moments of my career.
If it were entirely up to me, I’d stay here for many more years. Unfortunately, football isn’t always that simple, and sometimes decisions are made that are beyond a player’s control.
No matter what happens in the future, I’ll always be grateful to my teammates, the manager, the staff and especially the Arsenal supporters. You welcomed me as one of your own and I’ll never forget that.
Wherever life takes me next, Arsenal will always hold a special place in my heart.”

@EzeEnthusiast There are reasons why Saliba starts for Arsenal and France. This is just one among many examples why.
English

Saliba. That’s it. That’s the tweet.
🏴🇧🇷🇵🇹@EzeEnthusiast
Almiron trying to foot race Saliba only for his hamstring to immediately snap… yeah he is so fake man 😭🕊️

@Jaquelin582605 @HausenKS My biggest issue is that the U.S. for all our resources, population, finances, should be a powerhouse by now but aren’t
Reason, while soccer is popular in the US it’s not ingrained in our culture
I played in Europe/Latin America, they live the game
English

@DookusMagnus @HausenKS Si, claro.

To all the England fans asking why Americans would ever root for Mexico:
It’s simple.
It’s like having a little brother. You spend all year arguing with him, making fun of him, and reminding him who’s boss.
But the second someone outside the family starts picking on him, you suddenly find yourself standing next to him.
That’s CONCACAF.
We can roast Mexico 364 days a year. But when they’re playing England? For 90 minutes… ¡Vamos México! 🇲🇽😎
English

@texasrunnerDFW While true, keep in mind that Paraguay v USA, had a bad game that night while the US played well. Paraguay has since played better
Also, matchups and playing systems between teams can mean different scores
We never know until the match is played
English

@TrumpDailyPosts The number one threat to our democracy are @realDonaldTrump MAGA and his Reich goon squads @ICEgov.
Post November electoral onslaught will bring justice, prosecutions and Nuremberg 2.0.
They are going to jail and losing their houses.
English

Today on America 250, what is the #1 threat to Liberty in America?🇺🇸
English

@sophieraiin Well, I’ve already had sex with a few girls who look like that so I think I’ll take the money.
English

@Chris_M_Cousins I’m for hydration breaks if the temp is above 85 degrees and water bottles are filled with vodka.
English

Unpopular opinion, but I actually like the hydration breaks.
I honestly think football might be better if it was split into quarters rather than halves. The game has changed so much physically now. The speed, intensity, pressing, transitions and distance covered are ridiculous compared to years ago.
Knowing there’s a break coming up could actually encourage teams to keep the tempo high instead of managing energy for 45 minutes at a time. It gives players a chance to reset, coaches a chance to make quick adjustments, and fans probably get a better spectacle because the intensity stays higher for longer.
I know people will say it breaks up the flow, and I get that, but football already has stoppages, VAR delays, injuries and time-wasting. At least hydration breaks serve a purpose.
Maybe quarters are the future. Or maybe I’ve just watched too much American sport.
English

@LighthouseBilly @texasrunnerDFW This is a horrible joke
But I still laughed at it
Then I felt guilty for laughing at it
Then I laughed at it again
English

@texasrunnerDFW Here is the offside law for you Amy.
It’s really not that difficult to understand.

@fiago7 I only had pizza in (northern) Italy once and it was good. A bit salty but still good.
But I’ve also had pizza in the US that was spectacular.
I am a huge fan of Italian cuisine and wine. Just ask my waistline.
English

Let’s keep it real here I‘m loving my time in the US. I love the people here. I love the food here.
BUT I‘m currently hearing Americans say they have better pizza than Italy and there I just have to stop you guys because that is nothing else than blasphemy 😭
You don‘t have to be the best at everything, it‘s fine to admit when others do certain stuff better. And nobody beats Italy at pizza. Not even close 🇮🇹🍕
