Newcastle United sold St James' Park to themselves. 🔲 Arrangement led to first profit since Saudi-led takeover 🔲 Joined Big Six in topping £100m of annual commercial revenue 🔲 Operating loss hit a club record £109.4m Newcastle's 2024-25 filings show that ownership of the stadium and adjacent land now belongs to another PIF-owned company. @CWeatherspoon_ and @ChrisDHWaugh analyse what it all means. nytimes.com/athletic/71576…

@ChrisHa57913939 I’m told he wanted to play on Sunday to help the team — but the decision was taken out of his hands as he wasn’t ready.

🗞️ Eddie retains the support of Ross Wilson and David Hopkinson. The hierarchy appreciates him 'fronting up' to fans, but the message is clear: the current 12th-place standing is unacceptable. It's a 'crossroads,' not the end of the road. There is internal concern over Howe's rigidity. The failed experiment of playing Nick Woltemade in midfield has raised questions. The board expects Eddie Howe to adapt his system to the players, not the other way around. @MsiDouglas | #NUFC

Okay... uncomfortable conversations need to be had now. And not just because of tonight but this season as a whole. So from tommorow I'm restarting the "managers i'd look at to replace eddie howe". 👀 I've always loved Howe but he's proven he's given all he can. #NUFC ⚫️⚪️

This day in Newcastle History- It was 10 years ago and the last time we played Sunderland at St James Park. Mitrovic rescued a point for us and I still remember the absolute Roar and relief of seeing that Mitro Goal go in. Who else was at the game and can remember the day.
