There is no better example of VAR causing a decline in Premier League officiating than this Southampton v Boro match. Premier League referee Andy Madley in charge and without a VAR safety net he has been absolutely rotten.

@RichySouthern A meaningless win which means nothing to our dreadful season or a defeat which is hugely damaging to a big PL club who will probably be back rivalling us for Europe next season if they survive. I honestly believe losing benefits us more in the long run.

I can’t get on board with wanting to lose to West Ham for the sake of damaging spurs like. Regardless of Daniel Levy’s involvement in the lobbying for stricter rules against us or spurs wanting to bugger off to the super league, we should always be wanting to win our games
