Dear @CoinMarketCap,
After over a year of requests attempting to get the #Ergo information corrected (circulating supply), we were presented with the following path forward in the attached screenshot.
Strangely enough...@coingecko has no issue verifying the authenticity of our feed: api.ergoplatform.com/info/supply
#cryptocurrency, it begs the question...how much overall data is out of sync on CMC for projects that refuse to pay these hostage fees? Data integrity issues are not a good look for #CMC considering accuracy is their product. Let's get this cleaned up!

Interesting development from @ARKInvest on refining on-chain metrics. The AVIV ratio sounds promising and relatively straightforward to calculate. This could be a valuable addition to the @ErgoWatch service for a more nuanced market analysis or #Ergo. 📊

Not sure if the #Ergo rich list on ergo.watch includes only the $ERG currently in circulation, but if it does:
59.4% of total $ERG in circulation are owned by 100 wallets and the remaining 40.6% is shared among 191,696 wallets. How do you feel about this?

@armeanio Btw, don't you see it as a problem that tokens in UTXOs with < 0.14 erg are claimable? For example, someone who stores stablecoins on Ergo has to make sure they are stored in UTXOs with > 0.14 erg to avoid accidentally losing them all at once.

erg > 0.14 = erg rent -doable only by miners.
erg < 0.14 = everything up for grabs - by everyone.
It's an adjustable parameter, so KYA moving forward.

Miners have an advantage in the storage rent bot wars. So far, it doesn't seem like pools are doing much to maximize profit for their miners, leaving everyone else a chance to collect dust. But this is only day 1, but let's see how it matures. 🍿@Ergo_Platform

I reckon data scientists in the crypto community are interested in developing the platform, but how to make them aware? Contact on forums/reddit? Raffle?

@check4usdx @armeanio @Ergo_Platform If it is spent entirely and holds irreplaceable tokens then... contract kaput. BUT, if a contract protects something valuable (i.e. needed for the contract to work) it will likely be interacted with regularly. Also, contracts can be designed to always hold a minimum of ERG.

Starting from block 1,051,200 (~July 20th, 2023), miners have the option to charge storage rent or fully spend the box if its value doesn't cover the rent.
Make sure you have enough ERG to cover your ass(ets)! @Ergo_Platform

@BBBandit115 @armeanio @zkastn @Ergo_Platform No. Storage rent applies to individual utxo's. Receiving ERG only creates new utxo's, leaving existing ones untouched. You need to consolidate your utxo's.

I run a small farm entirely on Ergo. As long as I am receiving ergo via mining into my wallet, I avoid the storage fee as this is a transaction, correct?

The historical charts at ergonodes.net/charts now show a specific period by default instead of all the recorded data. The default now is last 30 days, but last 90 days and the previous behavior of showing everything are also available. #Ergo
