If you wan pay £85m for Mateus Fernandes and hand am £250k per week, good luck.
If you wan pay £100m for Sandro Tonali and give am £300k per week, good luck too.
That na the same Ed Woodward transfer strategy wey put Manchester United for wahala for years. E no dey sustainable, and history don already prove am.

£100m for Sandro Tonali is an extraordinary overpay. Tottenham are happy to be rinsed in the market & give inflated wages because of the position they're in.
That's not ambition, don't confuse the two because they're throwing money around. It's two entirely different things - that's being in your Ed Woodward era.
Manchester United walked away from Tonali at the beginning of the summer because of the asking price & wages & clearly they were right to do it.
