@BangedUpBills With him being under contract in 2027 for a reasonable ~$8+M (on the 5th year option) they can just let the 2026 season play out. See how it goes in 2026 before pushing for any extension talks. No need to rush into those talks just yet.

I looked into this more discussing Dalton Kincaid & load management. Surgical outcomes are similar to rehab and that’s why he didn’t get surgery last year. That’s fine & I agree. With how much of an issue the knee was last year, the ligament may be more damaged than we know. But if he doesn’t present with significant instability bc of the rehab previously done or have other ligament damage, doctors may say, no need to go in until it worsens. Surgery is done if there is persistent laxity or multiligament injury. I don’t have all the answers but I’d be cautious on signing him to an extension until he proves that knee is sound.
