Nats manager Blake Butera gave the Braves grounds crew some love yesterday. That was truly impressive how quickly they made the field playable.

Weiss said the plan was for Fuentes to throw multiple innings today. That's why there was some hesitation to have him enter to begin the sixth. They knew the rain was coming. But once crew chief Ron Kulpa didn't take the Braves grounds crew's advice to delay the game at that point, they stuck with Fuentes, who obviously wasn't able to return after the one-hour, 28-minute rain delay.

Pretty impressive job by the grounds crew. They plan to get started again at 7:35

The tarp has been removed. The challenge will be making the field playable

They had to bring additional tarps out when the tarp wouldn’t stretch over the first base line. Going to be hard to make this field playable again today.
