As I depart Sierra Leone to honor this invitation, it is with great honor and a deep sense of responsibility that I accept the opportunity to join the Global Coalition Summit, Fostering the Future Together, at the White House, Washington DC. I am profoundly pleased to stand as a voice for Africa—representing not only our continent, but the millions of children whose futures depend on the choices we make today. In an increasingly digital world, the safety, dignity, and well-being of our children must remain at the center of global priorities. As Africa continues to embrace technology as a tool for education, innovation, and opportunity, we must also confront the growing risks within the digital space. Our children are navigating environments that can both empower and endanger them. It is therefore our collective duty—as leaders, policymakers, and advocates—to ensure that the digital world becomes a safe, inclusive, and responsible space for every child. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to First Lady Melania Trump for entrusting me with the responsibility of serving as the African voice within this important coalition. This gesture reflects a shared commitment to global partnership and the protection of our children. As I rally my fellow First Ladies across Africa to support this initiative, I look forward to working closely with First Lady Melania Trump and other First Spouses around the world to advance this critical agenda. Together, we can build a united front that prioritizes the safety and well-being of children everywhere. I join this coalition with a firm commitment to advocate for stronger protections, ethical digital practices, and collaborative global frameworks that place child safety at the forefront.
