@EdwardsCLM Consuming gluten when you have coeliac disease can cause long-term damage, not to mention the initial symptoms. This is something the free from and allergy communities need to stand together to fight. It absolutely should not be allowed.

@EdwardsCLM Thank you so much for this piece! It is SO disappointing to see this happening. As someone with coeliac disease I was much more lapse checking labels when I was a teen (and TikTok audiences are so much younger) so this is very worrying.

@GFBlogger one of the hardest things I gave up when diagnosed with Celiac are hotdogs. I went to the store here in #Iqaluit #Nunavut & they had GF hotdog 🌭 buns. Cool. 4 buns / pack. Got to the cash and they were over $14. I was shocked. I did not buy. Do you have a recipe?

It's good to see @Telegraph have amended the language in their article and removed the word 'fad' - but a recognition of everyone's (valid and justified) complaints would have been nice, y'know?

PS what makes this even more disappointing is the fact in August you put out a very good article all about coeliac disease with one of the world's leading experts. This has undone all that good work - it's not even linked.

And you know what? If I ate a baguette every day with coeliac disease I’d probably end up dying sooner. So I think that headline is null and void.
