A season that began with Enzo Maresca in charge, then Liam Rosenior, now sees Calum McFarlane talking to TNT here about guiding Chelsea to the FA Cup final. #CFC #CHELEE

If Arsenal can win the next two games against Fulham and WHU, think we will run the table. Burnley at the Emirates and CP on the road will both have absolutely nothing to play for. Moreover,CP may well have a Conference League final 3 days after playing Arsenal on the final day.

@fkhanage Reasonable. Not sure what the best approach is, Cala brings so much too.

@GJBKArsenal Would keep Hincapié in for Atletico and bring Calafiori in for Fulham, which will be a very challenging game.

Piero Hincapié my Man of the Match. Up and down that left side, unbelievable engine and desire. Unbeatable. Unplayable. Proper warrior. Loved his contribution.

West Ham away is a problem. They are one of the most in-form teams in the league and fighting for survival.

@YankeeGunner I wouldn’t count on Spurs fans rooting for us against WHU.

Spurs fans are gonna have to root for us against West Ham with existentially bad outcomes on the line for them in both directions. It’s incredible.

@J_Maack91 Would be nice to chalk up a 3 or 4 goal win against Newcastle or Fulham. Newcastle always tough for us, but they are in the doldrums right now and missing some key players (like us).

Didn't realise we play twice before City play next... We COULD open up a 6 point gap if we pull our fingers out and heal some pressure on them for once. What a title race we have no either way.

If Aston Villa finish 5th in the PL and win the Europa League, the 6th place team in the PL makes the CL.Think this is likely to happen MC has games left against Bournemouth,Brentford and Everton, all of whom are in contention for 6th.Those 3 will likely have a lot to play 4 vs MC

@YankeeGunner I think it was enough, the Eze shot off the post, the Kai header at the end, the Kai shot. At 2-2 we would all be happy, at 2-1 the squad is bums. We still have a great shot at the PL.

And for anyone who wants to just make sure every post is angry and cynical, yes it’s not nearly enough. I get it.

@fkhanage Agree on ownership backing Mikel this summer. However, think he may decide that it will be tough to run it back again for another year if this season ends without a PL or CL trophy. Say this recognizing Arsenal is Arteta’s dream job.

I believe the club and ownership are firmly behind Mikel Arteta, especially when you consider what he inherited. Think the only way he leaves is if he decides he’s had enough this summer. Manage your expectations.

Devastated to lose another City game in the margins, but very convinced about the return of Kai and Odegaard. We will be so much more of an attack threat. Eze on the left should be the story for the rest of the season. Add Saka and Timber next week and we are winning all 5 games

After the Burnley game on Wednesday, Arsenal and MC will both have 5 games left. But Arsenal will play 2 home PL games before MC play at Everton on Monday, 4 May. So quite possible for Arsenal to go up 6 on City.

Kai Havertz had as many shots today as Viktor Gyokeres has had in all league games against top 4 sides all season.

Until the table indicates otherwise, Arsenal must approach the final 5 games with goal differential in mind, as it could well decide the title. There needs to be an emphasis on attacking and taking risks in attack, as a string of 1-0 wins is unlikely to be enough.

My guess is that City still has that extra match to play and secure the points, plus City’s remaining games are harder than Arsenal’s.

FT Man City 2, Arsenal 1 - It's in City's hands now. As it is Arsenal's. Six games for City to play. Five for Arsenal. If they win out -- a huge if for both teams -- it'll come down to goal difference.
