Do y'all remember when Dragon Age didn't send review codes to people farming hate content around the game and they all put up videos crying about it because they felt entitled to a free copy of the game?
More games should do that.
Creators that rely on being hateful bottom feeders to stay relevant should be starved of content and left to wither away. We don't need this dishonest crap.

@GeneratorRexy @ACUnlimited378 It's because they've got the Animus Hub now, which according to them means that all games going forward will have 0 modern day. That will instead be shown through the Animus Hub.
They're doing a "tell don't show" and it's absolute bullshit.

🟦Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced: Everything We Know
🔵Development is being led by Ubisoft Singapore, with support from Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Bordeaux, and Ubisoft Belgrade.
🔵The remake removes the modern-day segments and instead expands Edward Kenway’s pirate-era storyline, adding several extra hours of gameplay compared to the original.
🔵Some previously cut content such as parts of Mary Read’s storyline from 2013 is expected to be restored.
🔵Gameplay is shifting closer to the RPG-influenced style of newer Assassin’s Creed titles.
🔷Edward will now have: Loot and gear with stats
A full inventory system
Combat that leans more toward RPG mechanics rather than the choreographed style of the original
🔵The overall map size will remain the same, but islands will feature more activities, side content, and world detail.
🔵The game uses Ubisoft’s new Anvil Pipeline engine, the same technology powering Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
🔵Some assets from Skull & Bones are reportedly being reused to reduce development costs, though this is not expected to be noticeable to players.
🔵Weather systems are said to be comparable in quality to those seen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

As empty as the modern day was (no actual character but instead a vessel for the story), it was the Chekov's gun to the Sage lore that we were given, and it even tied in a few other details outside of the game, like serving as a tie-in to the original Watch_Dogs.

Y'all had something good before. It was unique, quirky and it worked. The RPG mechanics are generic and are only held up barely by what little of the original you kept.

I don’t get these devs, at demo events the feedback was largely that the control scheme was archaic and unintuitive and they ignored the feedback and doubled down and now they are fixing it. Why not just fix it then and save yourself all of this trouble lol
Increasingly I dont buy games Day 1 unless I plan to review it with game devs as part of my sub series as it’s not worth it a lot of the time.
It’s like you are punished for buying games Day 1 as you pay more and get a lesser experience than someone buying it a year later
