Take: the Final Four games should be played on Good Friday every year at 615pm and 830pm EST. Then play the Natty game on Sunday at 6pm EST. Everyone wins in this scenario vs doing a 9pm tipoff Monday night after long wknd and long day when everyone feeling bleh and tired and in desp need of beauty sleep to the point where even hard core bball fans won't even watch the second half which is a total shame. Charts don’t always lie. But they can mislead. Yesterday I was guilty of it by omission. Yes, U.S. large caps are doing fine. The Russell 1000 Equal Weight is making new highs. On its own, that looks healthy. But relative to international stocks, it’s getting crushed. This context only shows up when you plot the ratio. When you include both variables, the full story emerges. When you isolate one, you can accidentally (or intentionally) shape a narrative. Most bad analysis isn’t false. It’s incomplete.
