The limited water in the landscape is becoming a valuable oasis for all sorts of wildlife after the #bushfires

I think half a billion is a fair guess for the number of vertebrates that have died in Australian wildfires so far - birds may be able to fly, but territorial individuals will die. Animals that emerge from burrows will find little food. bbc.com/news/50986293

We still don't know what impact the most recent fire in core #westerngroundparrot habitat has had on the last wild population but with a pre-fire population of less than 150 the situation is critical. The surviving birds need to be found and protected. #AustraliaBurning
