@i_iratus exactly
my childhood so far:
- brexit
- 14 years of tories slowly pushing into decline
- bad economy
- covid
- education got worse as it went on
- removed all possibility of buying a house young
- nhs declining
so what do i have to "love" other than i have a roof over my head?
@HDv2b@fesshole Well, yes, but wouldn’t really need CH for that, the cos probably have websites, SM and similar. Not unless the OP reads the accounts as well. But I got ‘people’ insights..more than company .but those two could be linked I suppose..
@fesshole Its a list of companies and their ‘officers’ , unless they are co officers you’re only getting their contact address, their middle names, their date of birth and possible some salary info, If they are not co officers, you are getting nothing.
@fesshole This is a common tip for travelling in dangerous cities, but unfortunately the local thugs are usually wise to it and will stab you an extra time for wasting their time before finding the second phone or wallet.
Whenever I go out I always take an old unused phone on the off chance I get mugged and I can give them that instead of my nice new phone. Considering a 2nd wallet for expired debit cards too.
For 3 years following covid, we were allowed to WFH. During that time i moved to Spain without telling my employer. As far as they knew i was still in Leeds, and i'd blur my screen on teams calls so they couldn't tell. I had to resign once they wanted us back in 2 days a week.
@awills29@gp94392028@Steveonstradey@simonog@DCCT2579@fesshole But that's besides the point. We're discussing the plausibility of OP sneaking off to work from abroad without the employer noticing. I don't think OP is the rules-following type like you seem to assume everyone is. Could easily tell Spain he's in France half the year.
@HDv2b@gp94392028@Steveonstradey@simonog@DCCT2579@fesshole But are you sure it didn’t create a payroll obligation in your resident country, or create a permanent establishment for the employer? Or you had the correct right to work? Just because it “worked” for you, didn’t mean it was correct or will work for everyone.
@DCCT2579@fesshole Some companies insist on workers being in the country. I worked for one. Contractors, however, could work from anywhere.
There are all sorts of rules about data leaving the country etc as well.
It is grimly hilarious to see this guy ripping up decades of American soft power projects while going “Wow!” and “Gawrsh!” at stuff he doesn’t understand. God only knows what the Russians or Iranians are making of the CIA getting absolutely hosed in public by an imbecile.
@HDv2b@Steveonstradey@simonog@DCCT2579@fesshole It’s literally my job to advise on these things. “It didn’t make a difference” is just like saying “no one said anything so it must’ve been okay” whereas actually, just because they weren’t caught doesn’t mean it was right. A lot don’t have the right knowledge/processes in place
@awills29@Steveonstradey@simonog@DCCT2579@fesshole Actually in my case everything was above board. I didn't keep any secrets, and it was actually my employer who cared the least (they just kept my old UK address in their system) so the premise that you can't hide it from your employer is entirely false.
@awills29@Steveonstradey@simonog@DCCT2579@fesshole Wrong, I've lived in Europe while working as both employee and contractor for British companies. For neither case did it make a difference who I told about living anywhere.
Seriously, @elonmusk, what exactly did X do after a user reported these (now deleted) posts published by the Magdeburg attacker? Which authorities were informed and when?
