The Pokémon invite system on Amazon had a really promising start, helping more fans get access. Lately though, it feels a bit harder to get invites, and I’m curious how others are finding it.
Do you think the current system still works well, or would you prefer a return to limited drops?

Honestly the sooner pokemon centre change to raffle system the better
Long queues on a dated system for chaos rising etbs.
-Multiple re captcha checks to just kick you out.
-Multiple errors in your bot checks where your losing time.
-Wrong pricing today also you couldn't make it up.
-Cant compete with people that have multiple devices open taking 2 of everything.
Always an awful experience recently just do what Japan do!

@pokemondealsuk @KyleHolmesDB Tried my best, just would not let me make my second purchase for the etbs. After they ruined my first order by making me take them out of my basket because they put them out of stock for a few minutes. This was extra frustrating haha

@PokemonStockUK Completely on them btw. I did everything right. I’m assuming this happened to A LOT of us. F U Pokemon, if the price was missing the VAT you could have at least kept them in stock until the preorders run out. I will not be paying secondary market for these. This one’s a miss. 🤷🏻♂️

@PokemonStockUK Been through queue 5 times and just would not let me get the etbs. My first order got through because it made me take out the etbs because they put them out of stock just as I was purchasing. I guess it just doesn’t let you make another purchase for the things you didn’t buy.

@thewossy I was about to check out and they changed the price of the etb which failed my order, then when I tried again it just got stuck in spinning pokeball. So back to 3 hour queue. I’m cooked

@mialilyyoung @PokemonStockUK Same! Was just about to purchase and it failed because they changed the price of the etb. I had to take them out and just order the other stuff. When I tried to get the etb afterwards it just wouldn’t take payment and that was that. R.i.P back of queue

@PokemonStockUK Because they did that just as I was away to pay it screwed me over for getting etbs I tried to do a second order of the new priced etbs and it just wouldn’t take payment. Refreshed and back to back of queue. Complete joke

@pokemondealsuk Once the window closes, If any bot/repeat orders are identified then they can cancel them and move forward. Then it’s rinse and repeat.

@pokemondealsuk Have an open preorder window of 5 days where you can go on and preorder approximately 3 months in advance, when release day comes, send out products in waves to those who preordered. All while having limits per account/I.P like they do already. That would work. Japan has done it

My honest opinion: Preorders have usually been easy to get and stayed up for hours, so I’m not fully convinced this is the right move 🤔
If you were Pokémon Center, how would you implement a system like this in the right way to benefit real collectors? 🎴

@pokemondealsuk Game in Norwich got pissed off after about 35 min and upped all the limits. I think there was an error on the tills which they ignored to begin with and kept to normal limits but then went fuck it and you could get 2 etbs and 3 of everything else they had.
