@ChrisLawSNP @theSNP @StephenGethins Chris lives in a castle in the Angus countryside, miles from his deprived constituency of Lochee (which, by all accounts, he seldom visits).
Chris promised to convert his castle into a respite home for children.
He bought an Aston Martin instead.
Chris is laughing at you….

Superb launch for @thesnp Dundee East candidate @StephenGethins today before heading to speak to constituents in Dundee about what their priorities are, how our plans for Scotland will benefit them and what we can achieve together in Scotland with a fresh start for Independence

Well my nationalist chums, where are the economists who talk up independence?
So far there's only been this guy...

John Stuart Wilson@JohnStuartWilso
Millionaire actor Brian Cox, who has homes in London and New York, talks up independence. Millionaire actor James McAvoy, who has homes in London and Philadelphia, talks up independence. Where are the economists who talk up independence?

John Swinney: There could be a referendum in 2028. I want to press on
“Scotland’s first minister has big plans for an ‘activist government’ and wants to put economic growth high on the agenda”

@cwilk123 To be fair, there are people who also believe in a flat earth, Nessie and elves. So, don’t feel too badly.

@RussellFindlay1 @thetimes A 'majority' with around 30% of the vote, having been overwhelmingly rejected by the majority of Scots. Again.
There isn't going to be another independence referendum. Swinney is duping his gullible separatist cult. Again.

John Swinney has already said the SNP will win a majority on May 7.
In tomorrow's @thetimes he says he wants another independence referendum by 2028👇
You can stop him by voting Scottish Conservative on your peach ballot paper.

Spot on. Ties in with my letter today in the Scotsman. All this lauding of universal benefits but when it comes to something like help with oil costs for rural households, they suddenly fail to deliver.

Swinney’s “free prescriptions for millionaires” scheme is brilliantly dissected.

Meantime……
Hard working people in scotland earning more than £28,850 [2024/5] pay more income tax
at £50k they pay £1500+ more
So hard work delivers less in Scotland under the SNP
John Swinney@JohnSwinney
I’m fed up with the Westminster system that means hard work delivers less and less, while people’s energy and food costs just keep going up. The fresh start of independence would mean we can use Scotland’s resources to benefit Scotland’s people. #BothVotesSNP on May 7th. 🏴

Well the Grangemouth bit i can help with. It shut down because SNP and Greens added a whole bunch of Net Zero hoopla to the requirements, taking the refurbishment costs from a reasonable enough 300m to 1b. At this point the companies realised it would take over 15 years to break even and walked away...
Stronger for Scotland though!

@gavinpoints Grangemouth was a privately owned money pit refining foreign oil. And Scottish government ministers wanted it shut.
They got their wish. Remember that in May.

@jazzyrussell59 And the neighbour would keep the £26 billion that has been propping us up.
