So here are Iran’s peace terms, published in the Wall Street Journal.
Non-aggression guarantee. Control of the Strait. Uranium enrichment rights. All sanctions lifted. UN resolutions scrapped. IAEA resolutions scrapped. Compensation payments for war damage. US forces out of the region. And a ceasefire covering Israel and Hezbollah as a bonus.
Iran entered this war with none of that. Iran is leaving with all of it.
Meanwhile the United States got a two-week trial of a strait that was already open.

If all industry were destroyed in Iran, the country would suffer long term and not recover for a while.
Most likely the better choice, but … how can they ensure the US/Israel will not attack again in 6 months?

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump is escalating his rhetoric to force Iran to the negotiations table. This is a fact. But if Iran does not give in, what then? Then he looks like a loser who throws around empty threats, and he will actually have to follow through on military escalation. Even if he will not nuke Iran—which he won’t—he will need to escalate the attacks to not look weak. That’s the problem.

And if the Strait of Hormuz does open it will be on Iranian terms, something Iran did not enjoy before Trump’s War.

Iran went into this war with a very risky military strategy, took on 10 countries at once including the two greatest military on Earth and emerged as a regional superpower and control of the strait of Hormuz.
This is one of the greatest strategic victories in modern history.

If America agrees to Iran’s 10-point demands, then Iran won the war, complete victory.
If in 15 days Trump says we couldn’t reach a deal and resumes bombing Iran, then that means our side was dooped again and allowed them access to shipments of oil for nothing, aka it’s a loss.

So let me see if I understand this correctly.
Barack Obama negotiated a deal with Iran that lifted sanctions on their country and exchange for international monitoring of their weapons program along with several other concessions.
Donald Trump came into office and unilaterally blew up that deal.
Now a decade leader in his second term, Donald Trump has without the approval of Congress initiated an unprovoked military attack on Iran, and in order to end said conflict is demanding Iran comply with a number of self serving proposals, many of which were already covered under Obama’s initial deal.

@notcapnamerica One other key factor, before all this started Iran did not control the strait. Now, they control the strait, rules, passage navigation and fees of $2 million per ship are split between Iran and Oman.
They still have all their enriched uranium.

@sneako Ceasefire is not equivalent to war has ended.. ceasefire remains but all negotiations needs resolving before any winner gets found... In the end, if oil is flowing back, iran don't get nuclear and millitary show off of strength taking out big names.... Then difficult to judge

And if we're being serious, Iran’s defence of its sovereignty is more justified than Ukraine’s, because while the former posed no immediate threat to the US and its Western proxies, the latter, in its dead-on-arrival quest to join NATO, posed a direct threat to Russia.

I have questions for all the "The US is winning" people. If the US was doing so well, why is there a ceasefire with Iran still holding the Straits, enriched uranium, a missile program, the oil and its regime? Why are talks based on the ten points Iran suggested? Probably because you were wrong all along.
