To my South African friends🇿🇦. This is exactly why I stopped exploring many African countries and chose to settle in Ghana. When it comes to hospitality and how people treat others, Ghana and Nigeria still set the standard. What’s happening in South Africa is frustrating to watch, immigrants are being turned into scapegoats for problems created by poor leadership and failed systems. That narrative is not just wrong, it’s dangerous. Ghanaians and Nigerians don’t cross borders to take anything from anyone. We move with purpose, to work, to build, and to create value. That same drive is what pushes us to succeed anywhere we go. Blaming outsiders won’t fix unemployment, crime, or inequality. It only distracts from the real issues and delays real solutions. At some point, there has to be a shift in mindset, away from misplaced anger and toward accountability and progress. Africa cannot move forward if we keep turning on each other instead of addressing what’s actually holding us back.

🚨ICYMI🇿🇦🇬🇭🗣️: A viral street confrontation video from South Africa shows activist Victoria Africa(Queen Vee), and a group of locals stopping and questioning a Ghanaian man + other African migrants about their travel documents. The footage has triggered intense online debate about xenophobia and migration. 📹: YouTube/Reality Street Talk 🦅🇬🇭

I'm old enough to remember our society being cool with Nigerians. We loved their movies, music and culture until they started coming here illegally in droves You won't gaslight me into thinking we're an afrophobic or xenophobic country

When did South Africa stop being Pan-Africanist ? When did we stop having the interest of Africans at heart? …This is sad and heartbreaking.

“The xenophobic a77ack happening in South Africa is not a reflection of who we are. Most South Africans are against it, sadly we’re quiet about it. Our constitution rejects this. Only 2% of crime in South Africa are led by immigrants. Nigeria gave us $61 billion during the apartheid; that’s a third of South Africa’s budget in a year.” — South African man says.

South Africans in general are scared of foreigners. Most of them you see on this space can’t even talk to you in person. I’ve seen a lot of them — 99 percent are just keyboard warriors. That’s the reason I don’t take them seriously. They’re a lazy set of people.

@jimNjue_ South Africans should be cautious—things could change quickly, and they might one day find themselves seeking refuge with nowhere to go. Maybe White want to colonize them again

North Africa is United. West Africa is Uniting. East Africa will become one country in our lifetime. But in South Africa, it’s chaos. Black South Africans have said they can’t unite with Kwere kweres. I’m not sure what Kwere kwere is. Why is South Africa always last?

Reports from the Eastern Cape confirm that illegal immigrants are being removed from communities as part of the cleanup campaign that is being conducted by citizens nationwide. South Africans have endured years of unchecked illegal immigration that has strained our resources, increased crime, and undermined the rule of law in our own country. While social media can sometimes exaggerate, we must not ignore the reality on the ground: our people have the right to protect their homes, jobs, and communities from those who enter and remain in South Africa illegally. Forcing illegal immigrants out of residential areas is a lawful act of self-defence by citizens tired of being neglected by weak enforcement. South Africa belongs first and foremost to its own people. We have every right to put South Africans first, our citizens, our families, our future. We demand strong leadership, proper border control, and decisive law enforcement that prioritises legal residents and restores order. True patriotism means defending our sovereignty, securing our communities, and rejecting any narrative that guilt-trips South Africans for wanting their country back. This is our nation. We will protect it.

Me , personally I genuinely do not have an issue with Africans coming to live, work, study or visit South Africa . My issue here is the legality of them coming here. This isn’t about stopping them to come but about controlling the borders and crime.
