I truly admire people who went through the worst… and still chose softness. That kind of strength is rare.

In school, a boy once pointed at our teacher and said, “He’s been wearing the same shirt for 4 days… I could never do that.” We all agreed. That evening, I came home to a closet full of beautiful clothes and felt lucky. Until the next morning, when I noticed my father had been wearing the same grey shirt to work for days. And suddenly, the teacher didn’t look careless anymore. Just someone quietly choosing his responsibilities over himself.

@Humanoholic That hits. Sometimes what looks like neglect is just quiet sacrifice. You don’t notice it as a kid but later it changes how you see everything.

Life is unfair for everyone. The difference is simple: some people accepted that early and got to work. Others are still looking for the right conditions to start and wonder why success seems unachievable. Did you start yet or still waiting for life to feel fair?

my dad once complained about "coming home from a long day at work and having to eat on a paper plate" so my mom served him dinner in a solo cup the next day and we all ate like we didn't notice

Never, ever let excitement make you announce things too early. Keep things private and move silently until you’re very sure.
