This has been FIFA's approach to the World Cup for decades. The fact that the NJ government couldn't see this coming is mind-boggling, even if it's a new administration from the one that agreed to the deal. No plan whatsoever is embarrassing.

Extraordinary defence here by New Jersey Governor of the $100+ train prices to MetLife stadium first reported by @TheAthleticFC yesterday - she’s pinning it on FIFA and not budging. This is the Governor of the host state of the World Cup final going to war with FIFA.
