Some of my hard moments as an owner so you see it’s not all sunshine: - We owned a cannabis product company, had a driver miss the last exit to the dispensary before the US/Mexico border… he proceeds to drive up to customs on the Mexican side tell them what’s in the truck like $100k in product plus tons of cash and get it all “impounded” we barely get the truck back and lose all the cash and the product - We don’t fire him… he did it again next month 🤦‍♀️ - Another driver for a different company hit a too low of garage with his truck… almost totals the truck 🛻 - Armed robbers in Oakland drove a TRUCK into our warehouse storage unit stealing multi 6 figures of product - We eventually had a 24/7 line me or a partner had to monitor - Another company my accountant messed up reporting and I find out randomly during a line of credit review to learn we are 4 weeks from running out of money and never would have noticed - Another company we spent $120k on advertising a new product and get… $0 in sales wah wah - Another company had an employee steal our product images, copy, and a product name, post it on her website while she STILL worked for me and had a launching soon button on her site - Another company had 2 payment processors back to back cancel them, hold $90k+, and we had to fight to get it back 90 days later This game ain’t easy. But if you’re crazy like me you also think it’s worth it.
