United by solidarity and shared vision for the Arctic. The European Union is ready for the @_Arctic_Circle Assembly in Reykjavík. Today, 16 Ambassadors of EU Member States, alongside with representatives of the European Union, met at the EU Delegation to discuss Arctic matters.

Ambassador @InesCoppoolse attended the international energy symposium in Groningen: #WINDMEETSGAS2024 organized by @newenergyco. Var. solutions to reignite investment possible, but close cooperation between the NL and other North Sea countries, in particular Norway, is essential.

Today our new ambassador @InesCoppoolse presented her credentials to His Majesty King Harald V of Norway. The ambassador is looking forward to her official duties as Ambassador to Norway. We wish the ambassador a warm welcome in Oslo!

Today, on July 17, we commemorate the #MH17 tragedy, in which 298 innocent lives, including 196 Dutch citizens, were lost. Ten years on, the grief remains profound. The Netherlands remains determined to seek truth, justice, and accountability for the downing of Flight MH17.

It's encouraging to meet friends of Ukraine in far-flung corners of the world. Many thanks to @NLinCanada and @UKRinCAN for organizing the Ottawa Friends of Ukraine Group meeting. In a meaningful discussion with @InesCoppoolse, @kovaliv_y, and @IrwinCotler, moderated by Prof. Payam Akhavan, we delved into the essential aspects of global accountability architecture. Holding the Russian state and each individual perpetrator accountable for their crimes is imperative for restoring and upholding the rules-based world order. If our current international legal frameworks fall short, we must stand united, be proactive, and be willing to invest in new initiatives. The participation of a large audience of diplomats, experts, and representatives of international NGOs in our meeting is a powerful testament to global solidarity with Ukraine. Such collective engagement and commitment strengthens my conviction that together, we can #StopRussia and restore justice and peace.
