In an Anaphylaxis Campaign survey, 44% of 15-25 year olds admitted to not always carrying their auto adrenaline injector (AAI). ALWAYS keep TWO AAIs on you. And remember, nothing is as important as your safety. @BSACInurses @eaaci_patients @BSACI_Allergy @Allergyhour @AAAllergy

Girls tend to carry bags, so easier for AAIs to be carried discreetly. Boys don’t usually carry bags unless for school, so it’s not as easy for them to blend in!

Other boys his age don’t need to carry bags so it’s about being the odd one out & being made fun of - a real challenge at this tween age. If AAIs could be sleeker/smaller/more discreet, then I think more young people would carry them. Image, unfortunately, wins

Sometimes the AAI go into trouser pockets without inhaler but I know which I'd rather him carry. Asthma nurse listened & gave him dry powder inhaler so no spacer needed.

Compromise is x2 AAI in coat pocket and inhaler as well. @_maycontain may have some good suggestions on how to combat resistance!
