To some extent, yeah. We are used to Egyptian Nationalists and Christians attacking "Wahhabism" because it is basically code for Islam. If they attacked Islam directly, Egyptians would push back so they hide behind "Wahhabism" to smuggle in their hatred of Islam and make it easier for Egyptian Muslims to accept and repeat it.
The same thing happens with other sects and groups. They attack Sunni Islam under the label of "Wahhabism" and plenty of Sunnis fall for it because many already harbor resentment & jealousy toward Arabs. I have seen too many Ajam Sunnis throw Wahhabis and Arabs under the bus as a sacrifice just to appease them.

@zhr3rb As a Pakistani I have noticed that most of the people attacking Arabs belong to a certain Ideology/sect or influenced by it. Often times when they can't attack Islam directly, they criticise Arabs and praise others who oppose them. While some srsly hate them bcz they are rich
