@XenonZaleo After DS, 258 could be about how she makes bad decisions under duress. Maybe that's the main reason for the DL flashback, about how hard it was to "move on" from losing Peter once and then after facing the possibility of losing him again, she reacted violently towards Torment.

@XenonZaleo Thought that was meant to be more of a rhetorical question with Torment clearly knowing how she feels about Peter. But it's Joe Kelly and we know what he thinks of MJ.

Oh so since apparently Torment can see if someone is another’s True Love the fact that he asks MJ if she loves Peter means he is not, officially, her true love. In fact he seems unaware they are connected at all. In case you need more despair.

@XenonZaleo Clearly the idea was that since she "killed" Torment because he threatened Peter, it was too hard to open up to him since unlike Flash, he is a good listener and she would've had to keep lying to him to his face. So Flash was the "easy" choice. Could've been better conveyed tho.

Oh and we are getting Flash x MJ. Cool.cool.cool cool cool. In one page we learn she asks Oeter for space, but when Flash came over anyway she talks to him for hours. So yeah definitely nothing there. 🙃

@abysmaldogwater I'd argue MJ is in a worse spot. Felicia doesn't need to be forced with dumb gimmicks to be kept away from ASM. Marvel literally turned MJ into the polar opposite of who she is solely to kick her out of Peter's life and she's become a worse character in every possible way for it.

The inability to commit to her as a serious love interest to Spider-Man in modern comics, coupled with the fact her own mythos was kinda snuffed out so she could float in and out of ASM puts her in one of the worst spots of any Marvel heroine

@abysmaldogwater Also to keep trying to make money off of her while ignoring the tarnishing of her character they did just to get here. An "MJ fan" should perhaps feel offended over the shameless exploitation of her character, instead of making disingenuous arguments about her "agency".

@abysmaldogwater MJ is the best civilian character in comics who also became the most famous hero's soulmate. The two are not mutually exclusive. The "agency" arguments feel dishonest because Marvel has spent the past 4 years turning MJ into something she isn't solely to separate her from Peter.
