L3 is never going to happen. Not because of the technology, but because of the insurance liability risks.

Our area…which everyone outside the area calls Tampa Bay and everyone who lives here knows is really the Greater St. Petersburg Area, 😉is next Florida city to get @Waymo. Sunshine, grid streets, and just enough unpredictability to make the engineers earn their keep. But this is bigger than the cars. Autonomous fleets change land use math. Fewer mandatory parking garages. More housing on the same footprint. Corridors designed for people, not just storage for vehicles. Real density without the sprawl tax. If we want the next wave of growth to make us richer and more livable instead of just more crowded, this is how it starts.

Super cool to see @orlandomayor take one of the very first rides as @Waymo launched Orlando service!

🎙️ Grace Brown is the founder and CEO of Andromeda, building social companion robots designed for aged care and healthcare environments: In this episode, Grace shares a founder journey that started long before a company existed. She had been building robots since her teenage years, but the real motivation appeared during COVID lockdowns. People in care facilities were physically supported, yet emotionally isolated. The goal became simple. Build a robot people actually want around them. We talk about learning outside the curriculum, reaching out to mentors early, and running long real-world pilots before the product was ready. Instead of waiting for perfection, Andromeda deployed unfinished systems into nursing homes to understand behavior, trust, and human reaction. Grace explains why the hardest problem in social robotics is not intelligence but comfort. A robot can function technically and still fail if people feel uneasy around it. Design, personality, and interaction determine adoption more than raw capability. We also discuss building a company as a young founder, hiring commercial leadership early, and how moving into the US startup ecosystem changed the pace of decisions and iteration. You don't want to miss this one! Self-driving cars + shared AVs could wipe out 50-90% of parking needs in coming decades. Mandates are already outdated slash 'em before AVs make 'em obsolete! #YIMBY #FutureOfMobility

Insurance is half price when Tesla self-driving is activated, because it increases safety so much
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

NEWS: U.S. insurer Lemonade has announced that it will offer a 50% rate cut for drivers of @Tesla vehicles when FSD is steering because it had data showing it reduced accidents. “A car that sees 360 degrees, never gets drowsy, and reacts in milliseconds can’t be compared to a human. Beyond the product announcement today, we’re also announcing our commitment to the Tesla community – the safer FSD software becomes, the more our prices will drop,” said Shai Wininger, co-founder and president at Lemonade.

Six months ago, we introduced Robot.com Today, we launch it 🎉 Over the past few years, we’ve quietly scaled from 300K to 1.7 million+ robotic tasks. 500+ real robots. Doing real work every day — delivering, moving, inspecting, and more. Here's the lineup: 1. R-Dog ™ — Digital Out-of-Home Advertising (New) A robotic dog with dual high-resolution screens, bringing motion and interactivity to advertising. And a moving tail :) 2. R-Noid ™ — Humanoids (New) We built ours differently. Assisting in kitchens and handling repetitive work. (Not just to impress). 3. R-Kiwi ™ — Last-Mile Delivery Delivers meals across campuses. Designed for outdoor autonomy and social acceptance. 4. R-Cargo ™ — Warehouse & Logistics Moves materials across factories and warehouses. Built for precision and indoor/outdoor reliability. Our advantage isn’t just technology. It’s trust. Because in physical AI, social trust isn’t nice-to-have; it’s the moat. It’s how robotics stops feeling foreign and starts feeling familiar. We’re here to lead by building what can be deployed and scaled now. We’re here to show that robots can be accepted — even loved — by design.

🧵The quiet revolution in robotics isn't humanoids. It's the rise of inspection & maintenance robots, quietly scaling across dirty, dangerous, and distant industrial environments. This sector is projected to hit $8.3B by 2030. Let's break down why it's growing so fast. [Save this thread for later 📌]

Robots are out here training for the Olympics. At the world’s first Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, Unitree’s G1 sprinted through the 100-meter obstacle course. It leapt ramps, balanced on planks, tackled uneven platforms, and won first place in 33.71 seconds.
