@Kally_Hawk @ClaireCNWL Pretending that suicide is caused by a medical illness is lying and deception which disempowers the individual. Even if you're well intentioned I think it does more harm than good.

@CapitalistFraud @ClaireCNWL The police have no medical training so couldn't work out dosage, or monitor for vital signs or manage side effects. Furthermore, this essentially criminalises suicide ideation. Which places the blame solely on the individual and creates much more shame. This is much worse.

@Kally_Hawk @ClaireCNWL If people decide that suicide isn't allowed then the police should drug and restrain people instead. Once you pretend it's a medical illness nothing systemic changes and many times the system itself is creating the feelings of despair.

@CapitalistFraud @ClaireCNWL The police have no powers, or accessible drugs, to drug people. Though I do agree that we need to improve our social support and systems to help people's overall wellbeing. But we can't wholly dismiss the medical model. We need better structures to work the models together

@Kally_Hawk @ClaireCNWL The end game isn't for the police to drug and restrain people but hopefully it will spur people on to do something about the causes. The causes are mainly social change and helping the individual outside the medical model.

@ClaireCNWL My heart goes out to this poor young gentleman who felt that way and didn't receive sufficient tailored support 💔 This is a very poor application of this legislation.

@CapitalistFraud @ClaireCNWL So, out of curiosity, are we to let people complete suicide and not treat it as a serious issue? How many people do we need to allow that to happen to? I'm asking for all the individuals who have experienced this, either attempted, or the bereavement families left behind.

@Kally_Hawk @ClaireCNWL None of the theories in mental health can stand the test of Karl Popper's falsification. There's no way of proving the diagnosis or theories in psychology and all that's left is evidence based medicine which is open to fraud and lacks replication.

@CapitalistFraud @ClaireCNWL 3. I have an undergraduate degree in Health and Social Care, a Masters degree in Social Work and a post graduate certificate (level 7/masters level) for AMHP. All based in evidence and research. I'm struggling to see where you have sourced your research.

@CapitalistFraud @ClaireCNWL 2. However, you've neglected my other day-to-day role as a Social Worker, specialising in Mental Health. I support individuals prior to a crisis point and after a crisis, which may or may not have included hospital admission.

@CapitalistFraud @ClaireCNWL I'm also inclined to completely disagree and I believe your comments and the information you are sharing is actually far more harmful than the alleged harm you suggest is being caused by legitimate services.

@ClaireCNWL My intention isn't to upset people but there's no polite way of saying I think the mental health industry causes harm. Instead of changing society to accommodate people you get careers by keeping everything together ☹️

@MarkHeath45 Are all the miscarriages related to pregnancy? I believe that's a common factor. Also, a number of conditions such as Polycystic ovary syndrome, Adenomyosis and Endometriosis might be common factors?

Somebody we know, has now had x10 miscarriages, TEN! All in the last 5 years! And i have heard of many other women that have had several miscarriages also. There is one thing that connects all of these women….,,,, What’s your guess????

@asifamhp I assessed a really sad and difficult situation yesterday, for a high achieving nurse. I was essentially assessing one of our own. The trauma she had experienced was phenomenal. She just wanted to be left alone. I felt intrusive to her pain and suffering.

Social work has been feeling awfully heavy recently. Trying to find the small wins and positive outcomes but they’re few & far between! A few days off is definitely needed 😂😅
