26 years in between these pictures…if you know my Britney story, you’ll know why I cried seeing Big Rob again. He is one of the reasons my life didn’t end at 23. He has the biggest heart of most humans I’ve ever known. I am grateful to have been able to see him again after so much time & thank him for his continued love & prayers. Thank you Rob! If you need a good laugh, please go to YouTube & watch Afroman’s trial. Here’s the case in a nutshell: A search warrant was issued for Afroman’s (famous from his song “Because I Got High”) house in Ohio. The basis for the search warrant is pretty questionable. 10 officers busted his door down, disconnected his security camera, & only found a little weed & $5000 ($400 of which was stolen before he got his stuff back). Afroman is an entertainer, so what did he do? He took the body cam footage & footage from his own security cameras & created songs & videos about what happened to him. Now those officers are suing him for millions of dollars. This is very much a first amendment case - what speech is protected? But when the lawyers & witnesses start talking about the songs he has written, I couldn’t keep it together. “Judge, we understand Afroman’s first song he released about this case was called “Will You Repair My Door” 😂😂😂😂. We also understand he referred to an officer as Lick ‘em Down Lisa.” 😂😂😂 If I was on this jury, I’d be busting out laughing regularly. Afroman is wearing an American flag suit & He IS NOT PLAYING. 😂😂😂

I love the accusation that J has stolen black art. First of all, he grew up in Memphis. He was surrounded by black culture. I grew up in Mississippi & am a singer/musician & have always been drawn to black artists. I’ve never once thought I was stealing anything & neither is J. It’s inspiration. It’s in our bones & our brains. Why is it a bad thing & not a compliment??

I realize there could have been problematic choices in the past (cornrows 🤦🏼‍♀️) but the music has always been about working with the best & going back to our foundations. When I write a song, I can pull from anyone from Andre Crouch to Jodeci to Donny Hathaway. But maybe I was just raised right?! 😂

@KellyClinger But that’s not his fault. That’s society’s fault. Ultimately, it’s a nuanced issue because it is true for a lot of other artists, like Jack Harlow. It’s just the easiest card to play if you hate him. 🙃

My daughters leaving for a minimum of 3 months to get help mentally in the morning. It’s been a very long hard 18 months since her mental health has declined. We need all the prayers we can get to make sure she gets better and that this works out for her. I just want my baby back
