#PRESSRELEASE | On 15/07/2023 at 2345hrs, the police, fire, and rescue services in Mityana successfully rescued an unidentified baby boy of one and a half years old from a pit latrine. Preliminary investigations indicate that at Shell Wabigalo, Wabigalo LC1, Tamu division, Mityana district, an unidentified man heard a baby cry down a pit latrine. He immediately informed a security guard identified as Wabkela Augustine, 22-year-old, who is attached to Neptune Security Services. Upon inspection, Augustine confirmed that a baby had been dropped into the pit latrine. He quickly mobilized the neighbors for assistance and informed our police fire and rescue services. Under the leadership of DPC Mityana and the rescue services, our task teams arrived at the scene in time and they successfully rescued the unidentified baby boy, who is currently receiving treatment at Mityana General Hospital. A case of child desertion has been filed, and efforts are underway to locate the parents of the victim as the investigation progresses. SP Racheal Kawala PRO, Wamala

A strong intelligence service that uses both human and technical means to detect and locate the enemies within the borders of Uganda and, in some cases, outside Uganda; (iii). Maximum political cohesion within the Country based on broad-based legitimate interests of the people; and (iv). Pan-African efforts to work with sister African Countries on matters of common interest such as trade, etc., including security. I am here in Kisozi, deworming my cattle. Yesterday, I was on a point where I could watch Katonga bridge (Gomba side- upstream). We the Gomba and allied People of Butambala, Ssembabule, etc., are happy to have given Uganda and East Africa an alternative route when the Katonga Bridge, near the Equator, flooded. I saw so many trucks, buses, etc., yesterday-crossing the Katonga Bridge of Gomba. The cattle industry of Uganda will be a big money earner for dairy and beef.

I had the opportunity to meet the Muslim leaders at Entebbe and I was informed that the Parish Development Model (PDM) contravenes Islamic law, regarding the issue of loans offered with interest. I welcomed their proposals, which we shall study and see how to merge the Sharia principles within the PDM.
