Much of the right’s inability to admit that it got Trump wrong comes down to sunk cost. There’s often more, like professional, social, and financial networks at stake. But psychologically, it is very hard for these people to admit Trump has always been a fraud, and that the last decade of right-wing populism has been a disaster for America. So they’ll keep to the path, forcing the rest of the country to suffer because pride prevents them from admitting that they were wrong.

This is gross and racist. The President should delete it and apologize. The clip with the Obamas is the last 2 seconds of a minute long clip on voting machines being hacked, so maybe Trump didn't watch it til the end. Maybe he didn't even post it himself. If that's the case, he should say so.

Put this in the museum of “Media Malpractice”… No one is invested in believing it, but Todd Blanche is telling the truth. The Epstein Files is mostly garbage which is why it was never previously released & why no one else was charged. The media/public bought into a myth after Epstein killed himself, blindly believing an absurd conspiracy theory that he was somehow actually killed in a federal prison. The truth of this terrible story is that Epstein hired lots of prostitutes, some of whom were under the age of consent. Prosecutors, unable to prove complex financial crimes, went after him on this. When he killed himself in a federal prison, it ignited a perfect storm/moral panic that enveloped Prince Andrew (who was very likely innocent, just as Epstein’s emails indicate) and then Ghislaine Maxwell, whose trial was a complete joke. No one else prominent was involved in Epstein’s crimes, which is why there is no “list,” no one else was ever sued, and the Biden DOJ never said a word about this very popular, and possibly very politically advantageous, massive conspiracy theory. This episode should go down as one of the worst cases of news media incompetence in modern history, but will not because everyone is deeply invested in pretending they weren’t duped, and that the “truth” is still being hidden (even though the Trump DOJ just released a whole bunch of negative BS stories about Trump himself!).
