Arrests of anime community members reported in China
In Yuhuan, police detained dozens of members of the Fan’er Community, an online group with hundreds of thousands of users — mostly teenagers and young people.
Authorities classified online discussions as activity of an “anti-state group” under “foreign influence.”
Participants are accused of “undermining state power” and “provoking conflicts,” with anime memes interpreted as political statements.
According to human rights groups, some detainees are minors who were interrogated without guardians. Reports also mention pressure and forced confessions.

@Migrel4 @stevush5 @MalayaIrredenta @RommelFLopez @leisbeth_recto @War because you are weak, hahahaha
English

What wrong have we Filipinos done to deserve such harassment?
Look, how China Coast Guard vessel is deliberately ramming Filipino vessel and throwing high-pressure water cannons.
Shame on China! @stevush5 @MalayaIrredenta @RommelFLopez @leisbeth_recto @war

@DSPetolicchio Well, we are devils, so we should do what devils should do - massacre, rape, kill civilians, expand externally. Oh, sorry, I'm not talking about the Central Command.

@dessertbro @ManTracker73 @PLA_MilitaryUpd This is exactly what I mean. Sorry, this is a very evil statement. However, a country that was subjected to extensive massacres by the Japanese during World War II is now having this Norwegian person making jokes about it. So, he will have to face the consequences.
English

@LDH1237755 @ManTracker73 @PLA_MilitaryUpd That's a fair point, but shouldn't exactly use the person's grandmother. Your statement could have also meant she was raped or perhaps I'm just overthinking after what happened to my grandmother back during the occupation. Again, I understand 👍
English

@dessertbro @ManTracker73 @PLA_MilitaryUpd He made fun of our country by using the history of aggressive wars. This is also very disgusting, my friend.

"Iran’s New Regime President, much less Radicalized and far more intelligent than his predecessors, has just asked the United States of America for a CEASEFIRE! We will consider when Hormuz Strait is open, free, and clear. Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion or, as they say, back to the Stone Ages!!!" - President Donald J. Trump 🇺🇸

If Iran acquired nuclear weapons capable of striking Europe, the consequences would be devastating.
With Iran’s geographic proximity, ballistic missile flight times would be short, just around 15 minutes to hit Rome or Berlin. The compressed timeline would leave minimal room for detection and decision-making by European states.
The ballistic missiles would travel at high speeds accompanied by decoys and saturation salvos, overwhelming defenses and leaving major European cities vulnerable to catastrophic strikes as missile defense systems don’t have 100% interception rates.
Critically, Iran's status as an Islamist theocracy infused with Shia eschatology complicates traditional deterrence. Beliefs in the Mahdi's return and the apocalyptic scenarios accompanying it are likely to drive elements of the regime to prioritize religious imperatives over survival.
There are elements among Shia Islamists who believe that it's both possible and desirable to speed up the arrival of the Mahdi and the end of times.
This diminishes the efficacy of the Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) theory, which kept the ideological enemies, the USA and the Soviet Union from starting a nuclear war during the Cold War.
Unlike rational state actors deterred by the prospect of national obliteration, many Islamic regime leaders might perceive a nuclear cataclysm as fulfilling divine prophecy or accelerating end-times events, rendering threats of retaliation less persuasive.
Such uncertainty would enable Iran to blackmail Europe effectively.
By threatening nuclear attacks, Tehran could coerce policy shifts—demanding sanctions relief, changes in stance toward geopolitical alliances in the Middle East, energy concessions or the Western stance on mass-immigration and integration.
European governments, wary of calling a potentially undeterrable bluff, would likely lean toward appeasement to avert disaster.
In essence, a nuclear-capable Iran would weaponize fear, shifting European foreign policy toward caution and concession while giving the Islamic regime in Tehran an outsized influence on daily life of Europeans.
It would spell disaster for Europe

I want to warmly welcome @USFS Chief Tom Schultz and the all the hardworking Forest Service staff to Utah.
Nearly 90 percent of our nation’s public lands are located in the West, and the best decisions about how to manage them are made closest to the land itself.
Western communities live with, work on, and steward these lands every day, and bringing leadership closer will lead to more informed, practical, and responsive management.
