Over the weekend, our Westminster Police Explorers competed in the #EXCON2023 Explorer Competition hosted by @lvmpd and @lvmpdexplorers, in Las Vegas. Our Explorers team won 1st Place in the Crime Scene Investigation! Big congratulations to our Explorers for a job well done.

We pause to remember a great young man who was taken from us way too soon. On 8/1/13 Explorer Captain Angel Velasquez, 19, was riding his motorcycle when a drunk driver collided with him at the intersection of Sahara and Van Patten. Angel died later that night. Angel, we miss you

Hearts are heavy as we morn the recent passing of @LVMPD Officer Jason Swanger. Swanger was a dedicated advisor for many years. He epitomized the very essence of a mentor: high expectations but neverending support. Jason, on behalf of the advisor cadre, thank you. #tillvalhalla

Congratulations to the Toledo Police Public Safety Cadets who competed against multiple teams at the annual state law enforcement competition. One team took first place in a domestic violence and first aid scenario, and the second team took second place in the first aid scenario.
