@LearningLulu Better yet, if you can read in your TL, you can talk about what you just read. I like to summarize graded readers (easy fiction), but it works even better with non-fiction (blog articles, magazine articles, etc.). At first, just try it with the reading passages in textbooks.

@ExileGregory I tried to check a few months ago but I did not find much but since you mentioned it I think I should try again. Thank you so much ^^
English

@LearningLulu I'm using AI now. LanguaTalk. You can also use ChatGPT for free. Have a look at some youtube videos about this.
English

@andymounthood I am always thankful for your tips really. Thank you so much. I will try that as well. Tbh I sometimes do like "the weather is nice" and stuff like that and it is indeed useful but I think I need to do it more often and with different topics.
English

@LearningLulu They do get easier over a few months, and then I'm more willing to practice conversation with others.
Audio courses and listening practice are both very helpful in preparing me for conversation.
English

@keislanguages No of course not. I am really so thankful 🥹🥹 Yeah it started a few years ago but lately it has become worse and as I said it is not really going away so I feel I should do something about it for real🤦🏻♀️
English

@LearningLulu I'm glad my rambles didn't annoy you 😅 I used to have a similar problem for years so hopefully like this I've helped you avoid that sort of situation 😅
English

@keislanguages Thank you so much 🥹 I am gonna try your tips and see if they work for me. I am really thankful that you took the time and mentioned them 🥹💛
I do get that a lot tbh I feel I don't really recover lately even (like even if I get a bit better it doesn't feel like full recover)

@LearningLulu -doing (like once a year or more) then it might be some type of depression, which doesn't mean that you need to start anti-depressants or wtvr, just that you'll need some strategies to minimize the depressive lows in your life. Whatever it is, I hope you feel better soon! ^^
English

@LearningLulu Oh noo, maybe you need to talk to someone or go to the doctor, could be something medical too 🤔
Have you tried exercising? It does help with the lack of energy, although you might not want to because you feel you have no energy, but starting slow and simple helps.
English

@LearningLulu I have the same problem 🤔 also I can't find any solution to deal with it
English

@LearningLulu Something that helps me is knowing that those times will pass, that it’s just temporary. I rewatch things I loved instead of watching new things, read fanfics instead of books or read books that are easy. For languages I go into maintenance mode. Hope you feel better soon! 🫂
English

@Kellipnida I see. Thank you so much 🙈 Good luck and I hope whatever you try works for you 💛
English

@LearningLulu it's sth I'm still doing cuz I often get bored w things I used to like. For dramas I just don't watch it or change for a diff subject. Also reading more books it's been a great replacement. For lang learning I try new methods or take a slow path & easy one.
English

@Kellipnida Exactly. I can't really concentrate and I am becoming so forgetful as well 🥺🥺 I can't even tell if the drama for example is bad or it is me who can't enjoy it.
If I may ask what do you do during that time? Like how do you manage it? Just take a break? But still how? 🥺
English

@LearningLulu Sometimes, I feel that way too. Even for doing sth I uesd to enjoy. In times like that I just give time for myself & then try to find new ways or new hobbies.
English

@andymounthood Well...🙊😅 I hope it is not though 😅 The problem is I have no idea yet how to try to recover burnout so that I can tell if it is burnout or depression 🤦🏻♀️
Thank you so much 😊
English

@LearningLulu Hugs! I hope it's not depression. From what my niece told me, it tends to be those symptoms but it also feels as if all emotions (positive and negative) are drained out of you. But hopefully it's not that. Hopefully, it's a short-term burnout. I hope you feel better soon!
