1/2 Great news - West Yorkshire Flood Innovation Programme's funding bid has been successful. A feasibility study to develop a Blue Green Demonstrator site at Meanwood Valley Urban Farm Leeds can start. Yorkshire Resilience Flood & Coastal Committee approved the Local Levy bid.

@StuartLong01 The gates are partially open and due to fully open later today. They may close intermittently over the coming weeks to allow for further works and testing, but some flow will be maintained.

@StuartLong01 Hi Stuart. The gates were partially closed to safely secure the final coir rolls and scour protection so that new vegetation on the bank isn't washed away. Flow was reduced but still present in the goit throughout.

@LeedsFAS can i enquire to why the gate was closed in kirkstall on the 16th April 2024 as levels in the goit dropped again without any protection for the wildlife ? #Kirkstall #Leeds
