Main business today is all stages of the ministerial salaries amendment bill. It increases the number of ministers who can be paid a salary under the Ministerial and other Salaries Act 1975 from 109 to 120. But the additional paid ministers are in the Lords.

@YorkshireWater Been gushing like that for weeks and you do seem to be digging Birfed crescent up next door to it a lot are you definitely sure it’s not a pipe/culvert burst given you say on maps it does not have ground water concerns

@StuartLong01 Thanks! We inspected this leak back in December. Our technician found no issues with our mains pipework. He also tested the water & no chlorine was detected, therefore this leak is suspected land water - Yorkshire Water Social Team

@BethRigby @alexburghart Would this not be defying the humble address unless a note lists them as part of the active police enquiry and hence cannot be released ?

From a former cabinet minister: Box notes are comments from private office & special advisers on a paper/submission that has been sent to the (Prime) Minister, to which the Minister should say content, not content and/or give comments, incl asking for more info….
Alex Burghart@alexburghart

The Government has not released the *actual* box returns on Mandelson Why? I’ve worked in No10 - Spads and Private Secretary provide comments AND we’d expect the PM to write in his view All that has been left out - why?

Over a decade ago, in a ludicrous meeting, the greatest criticism of me two managers of the org I worked for at the time was that… I made too much tea. Today, @TimesRadio is interviewing me about the large amount of milk I put in my tea. 12:45pm on @TimesRadio. Be there.

Hi @LeedsCC_Help might you assist with which officers might get Beecroft Street #Kirkstall cleaned and ask the developer to stop dumping mud on the road given how dangerous it’s getting cc @H_S_E #leeds

The Register of Staff Interests has been key to understanding how money flows through our politics. Gutting it will significantly damage our ability to understand who is paying for what.

EXCL: MPs are planning to redact names of 2,000 parliamentary staff from official register that has been in place for decades, reducing transparency around lobbying by passholders - @rowenamason theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

@YorkshireWater Again agree on private data but from a lot of experience and you can see it currently in DM your very keen to get the problem being discussed out of the open, sunshine is always the best disinfectant

We do try to provide as much information as we can on the public stream, however when personal details need exchanging, i.e. contact details or personal addresses, it is best to take this to a private message. Any general information can be given out on a public stream. Thanks, Yorkshire Water Social Team

Disappointed with @YorkshireWater, they repaired the leak on Eden Grove, #Kirkstall, burst another pipe while backfilling it! Residents still with low water pressure and can’t use washing machines. Promises to attend keep falling. When will this be fixed? #YorkshireWater #leeds

@YorkshireWater Totally agree about data safety and yet that can be passed last, from experience your very keen to discuss the problem on DM rather than in the open and hence my point

Hi Stuart, we see where you’re coming from but when we ask people for contact details it’s important that they do that privately – we wouldn’t want anyone sharing personal information in a public space. We’re not trying to silence anyone, we’re just making sure their data, things like their phone number, account number or location, is kept safe.– Yorkshire Water Social Team

@YorkshireWater Sadly asking people to DM you is just a way of silencing what is a problem that should have been fixed yet is embarrassing to the company, I’d ask everyone just to keep talking about issues NOT in a DM

We understand that leakage can be a frustrating issue for our customers, but our team has been working hard to improve our performance. It may take a while to fix certain leaks & the reasons for this can vary. With most leaks, many factors have to be considered before a repair is carried out & are not as straight forward as they appear. Over the past couple of years, our team has been exploring innovative technologies to drive leakage reduction and cost efficiency, and we have invested in expanding our near real-time visibility of network performance. If anyone would like to speak about an ongoing leak further, please send us your contact details in a Direct Message so we can raise a case for the relevent team to contact you - Yorkshire Water Social Team

@StuartLong01 @YorkshireWater I had 2 months of chaos. They applied to dig up the road, then left a gaping hole for anyone/thing to fall in, with running water in it. Failed to locate original leak.

@Barbara40592522 @YorkshireWater Thinking similar, they closed Morris lane last year for 9 months diverted everything and made people live with the lack of investment that is causing all the leaks

@StuartLong01 @YorkshireWater Other side of the city, but YW created a leak while searching for a leak, then low pressure. Fixed it and turned up pressure, blew the toilet siphon. Marvellous.

Catherine Macleod, who was in the room in Downing St with Peter Mandelson minutes before allegedly sent confidential material to Epstein, spoke to me this evening on @TalkTV, her first interview with the station. She was special adviser to Chancellor Alistair Darling.
