Play tip: connecting all six theme letters doesn't end the score. Casual: the clock stops — keep playing for pure territory. Competitive: the timer rolls on. Spend what's left on hints and stack the grid for maximum points. Most players stop at "complete." Champions keep going. Climb the ladder → lexiconwordgame.com

@wonderofscience Fear of this is called Thalassophobia. It stems from being confronted by the vast, unknown abyss. The term comes from the Ancient Greek thálassa ("sea") and phóbos ("fear").

@Dexerto Early sightings of the Loch Ness monster were probably swimming elephants. In the 1930s, traveling circuses were common in the Highlands, and they often used the banks of Loch Ness as a rest stop for their animals while en route to Inverness.

The first “sighting” of the Loch Ness Monster in 2026 has been recorded by American tourist Tony Inhorn “I saw the dark-greenish gray body of what appeared to be Nessie emerge ... she was about 15ft from the boat I was on”

This is called "token exchange training" and proves that African Grey parrots have the cognitive depth to understand currency. Parrots are trained with multiple types of tokens—such as metal brackets or plastic pipes—each corresponding to a different food quality (low, medium, or high value). The parrot is given a choice between an immediate low-value reward (like a sunflower seed) and a token that can be traded later for a better reward. Why parrots? African Grey parrot brains are up to 5 times larger than ordinary birds.

Texas Instruments has released a microcontroller measuring just 1.38 mm² — small enough to sit comfortably on a fingertip — at a unit price of around 20 cents. The chip is designed for ultra-low-power applications including medical wearables, hearables, and compact IoT devices, where both size and cost are critical constraints. At this scale, integrating processing capability into disposable or implantable medical devices becomes economically viable for the first time. TI positions the design as one of the smallest MCUs available in mass production today. #TinyTech #Microcontroller #Innovation #EmbeddedWorld #TI #Wearables
